The saucy beer works at Paul McCartney’s Abbey in India is bringing new work to the region.
Paul McCartney, who is in the middle of his fifth tour, is opening up the brewery in the region for the first time, the BBC reported on Sunday.
“We’re bringing a lot of new beers to the area,” Paul McCartney said in a statement.
“We’ll be having new beers from the very first brew in India.”
The first beer in India was brewed in 2019, and the Abbey, which opened in 2021, was designed to be a showcase of Paul McCartney brews.
The Abbey was built in a “world class facility” at the height of the British industrial revolution, the brewer said.
The new brewery will serve up a range of saucier beers including the first in India, a saucy brew called ‘Odd Future’ that was brewed with sauerkraut.
The brewery’s name comes from the Beatles’ song ‘Imagine.’
Paul McCartney has been working in India since 2007, and he has a “very close relationship” with the people there, the statement said.
